I first had the privilege of working with Seth years ago when I took his course “The Gripping
Read” in Stanford University’s Continuing Education department. I was so impressed with his expertise and teaching skills that, since then, I’ve gone back to him a few times for help with my memoir.
As usual, our recent work together was extremely fruitful. Seth gave the latest iteration
of my manuscript a close and very careful read, identifying ways to strengthen it and optimize my chances of finding a publisher. We had in-depth conversations over Zoom about his suggestions, the reasoning behind them as well as craft techniques to implement them.
Seth is quite the expert on craft, which made those conversations especially enjoyable. He also helped me break down his proposed changes into manageable steps and kept me on task with a weekly writer’s log. I’ve come out of the process much more confident about my memoir and extremely hopeful about eventually finding it a home. Thank you very much, Seth!
