Last week I sent out the “What Kind of Writer Are You” quiz, and the response caught me off guard — over 75 of you have taken it so far.

One pattern jumped out immediately. The single most common thing tripping writers up wasn’t lack of an outline. It was the opposite:

“My outline is solid, but the actual pages feel flat compared to what I planned.”

That was the #1 answer, by a wide margin — about a third of everyone who took the quiz said some version of this.

It’s a real problem, and I want to understand it better — not just from my own coaching clients, but across the board: what’s actually worked for writers trying to close that gap between the story in their head and the story on the page.

So I put together a short survey. It takes about 5 minutes. I’m asking about any coach, editor, or course you’ve worked with — not just me — what it cost, what changed, and whether it actually helped you.

Take the survey → https://form.jotform.com/262176704703052

If you’ve worked with more than one coach or course, please fill it out again for each one — the more specific the answers, the more useful.

I’ll be sharing what I learn in a future post. Thanks for helping me get a clearer, more honest picture of what actually works and what the options are out there for writers.
